Be Happy Because You Have Hope.

Morning Watch 5/9/13
Be happy because of the hope you have. Be patient when you have troubles. Pray all the time. (Romans 12:12 ERV)
Yesterday there were tears of frustration and anxiety. When it appears there is no answer from heaven, it is very difficult to fight against the natural tendency for SELF-PRESERVATION. Oh the thoughts that come flooding in. “It’s your fault there’s no answer, you are not good enough! You were given a brain to figure these things out! Your family is depending on you! Ask people for help. Isn’t that what friends are for!? Aren’t you going to look stupid! You’re going to prove to everyone that God can’t be trusted because you asked for the wrong thing!” I’m sure you’ve heard many more.
There is a super abundance of turmoil when what I believe to be true seems truly insane! It’s hard to remember the promise; that He uses what seems foolish; that He gives more than we think to ask. “God, I know what you’ve asked me to do, I just don’t know how,” I cried out! I don’t like looking foolish; more, I don’t like the idea of being foolish.
Jesus reminds me that he was often believed a fool on many occasions, and tempted to prove himself otherwise. He proved love is always the right thing to do.
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us. If we love each other, God’s love has reached its goal—it is made perfect in us. (1 John 4:8, 12 ERV)
